The TU Delft isn’t known for its cultural contributions. But engineers are still creative people, and their hobbies are no different from those of their peers. And even here, at the TU Delft, are budding writers and poets, bloggers, vloggers, cartoonists, photographers, artists and so on. This is why Studium Generale (SG) and S&C are hosting a series of 5 workshops to explore and fine-tune your creative skills.

Writer's block by Robbert van Lanschot – former diplomat, journalist & writer

“Writing about a writer’s block is better than not writing at all.” (Charles Bukowski)

Many writers struggle with being afraid, with putting their ideas and with it themselves out there for everyone to see and critique. Fear is a major reason some writers never actually become writers. Or maybe you want everything to be ‘just right’ before you ever put pen to paper or touch a keyboard. You try to get it perfect in your head and never do, so you never begin. No matter what the cause is that prevents you from continuing or even starting to write, writer’s block can be overcome.
